Longing for You

There I stand upon the ship
My eyes glance out at bay
My heart feels heavy as I watch
The ship pull out away
Oh how I long to feel your touch
Upon my silky skin
I begin to mourn as I think
"Will I e'er see you again?"

So now the land vanishes from sight
All hope begins to fade
My head hangs low, but then I see
Something in the waves
My eyes light up as I look out
To see you swimming to me
But, oh how I curse myself
When I realize it's fantasy

Time goes by without a word
From my beloved one
But a message is sent to me
To tell me you are gone.
My heart aches in agony
As I weep into my hands
To think that you have left this Earth
In far and distant lands.

How I wish to be by your side
Is more than I can bare
I'll take a knife to my chest
To end it all here
We will meet again, my love
On the otherside
Forever we will be together
At each other's side.
